This five year programme provided specialist training in the mono-specialist disciplines of periodontology, prosthodontics and endodontics and focussed the management of patients with complex treatment needs requiring multi-disciplinary management.Alongside specialist training Dr O’Dowd completed a Masters degree in Restorative dentistry from the University of Newcastle with her research concentrating on Patients’ Perspectives of Periodontal Disease. On completion of specialist training in 2011 Dr O’Dowd obtained Speciality Fellowship from RCSEd was appointed to her current role at Edinburgh Dental Institute (EDI).Louise’s role involves UG and PG clinical and didactic dental education including research.
