Background

Having graduated with a first class honours degree from the same programme in 2013. Zoe was awarded the medal for academic excellence for her undergraduate degree. 

In 2017, Zoe successfully gained her Postgraduate Certificate in Academic Practice from the University of Edinburgh.

Zoe has continued to be closely involved with the development of the BSc Oral Health Sciences degree. 

Zoe lectures one day a week at present as she is undertaking a full time PhD. Her research is concerned with the oral hygiene habits of the ageing population.

Research

Zoes research interests include gerodontology and education. Particularly the use of Grounded Theory methodology in dental research.

Awards and interests

Zoe is an examiner for The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.
